“Rizoma" stems from a reflection based in all roots. A reflection that connects the deepest core of the Earth to all beings which inhabit it, creating a simbiosis between human and nature.

My inspiration emerges from the simple but vital, as it os a corn leaf. From the posture of reverence an agriculturalist grants its harvest. Supported by the mecapal, which is worn on the forehead to maintain equilibrium by creating balance and composure though out the body. This is a design that is meant to reveal a sense of wholeness, from the soles of ones feet, through the core and all the way to the top of the head; embracing the body in an elegant drape that merges and abides by organic shapes. Falling threads are unrestrained by an infinite movement that comes to life by the rhythmic and ever precise relationship between body and garment.
